Many businesses collect the same customers every month. While mandate-based autopay needs special arrangements with your provider, you can already run smooth repeat collections with UPIPayments.
Pattern 1: monthly payment links
Create a one-time link for each customer each month through the API (POST /api/v1/links) and send it by WhatsApp or SMS. Paid links close automatically; unpaid ones show up clearly.
Pattern 2: a payment page per plan
One reusable page per plan, such as “Monthly membership ₹999”. Customers pay whenever their month starts, and each payment carries their name and mobile.
Pattern 3: invoices from your own software
Your billing system creates an order for each invoice with your invoice number as the order_id. The webhook marks the invoice paid in your system the moment the customer pays.
All three keep every payment in one place with exports for your accountant.
